Christina Erika Carandini Lee was born on November 23, 1963, in Lausanne, Switzerland, to father Christopher Lee and mother Birgit Kroencke.
Christina’s father was an English actor with a career spanning more than 60 years, while her mother was a Danish painter, model, and actress. They met through a Danish friend in 1960 and got married roughly a year later on March 17, 1961.
According to several sources, Christina Lee’s birth wasn’t an easy one. She was born with her legs inward, and one unverified account claims that she experienced complications involving fluid that made her struggle to breathe. Doctors warned Christopher about the possibility that he might lose either his wife or their child during delivery.

Fortunately, both mother and baby survived and made a full recovery.
Christina’s parents lived a long, healthy life before passing away. Christopher Lee died at the age of 93 in 2015, while Birgit Kroencke passed away at the age of 89 in 2024.
